Carmel Caterpillars Pre-school

Carmel caterpillars Pre-school was started almost 50 years ago by parents to serve the local community. Over the years it has developed into a committee run pre-school with charity status but still serving the local community of Sittingbourne and the surrounding area.
We are situated in the centre of Sittingbourne- just off the main high street.

Carmel Caterpillars Pre-school is a pack away pre-school in a local church hall with a small outside space for the children to access throughout the day.

Our ethos is ‘Children learn through play’. The children are free to choose resources throughout the day. We have a high ratio of staff which are deployed to ensure all children are well cared for and given opportunities to develop and learn in a fun, friendly and safe environment.

All our staff are highly qualified and are Mum’s themselves who understand the importance of ensuring all children are well supervised, stretched to fulfil their full potential whilst having fun activities and experiences which create a positive learning environment for them to thrive.

We feed many of the local schools in and around Sittingbourne, including The oaks, Tunstall, Grove Park, The Westlands Primary, Landsdown, Canterbury Road, Iwade and Bobbing to name just a few.

We understand that Pre-school can be the first experience many children have of spending time away from parents so we work closely with you to make the transition as easy as possible for both child and Mum and Dad.
