Welcome

Welcome to Carmel Caterpillars Pre School Sittingbourne, Kent. We offer a safe, stimulating, fun and exciting environment where infants will develop a positive sense of self worth and secure attachments by participating in a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Carmel Caterpillars Preschool is the perfect venue for letting your child’s mind and heart grow with knowledge and emotional fulfilment. We have a breadth of child care knowledge and experience along with a wide selection of educational resources, essential for enhancing the development of your child.

We work using the Early Years Foundation Stage and within a framework which encourages equality of opportunity for all children and their families. We provide the best possible care for your child, in our parent-involved, community based setting. We claim EYPP (Early Years Pupil Premium) and for those families that qualify, we involve them allocating these funds to ensure the best Learning & Development outcomes for their child.

We have a virtual walk through of the hall on our Facebook site (Carmel Caterpillars)  But we strongly recommend coming in for a visit with your child to get to know us and have a relaxed look round. Either send us a message using the Contact Us page, drop us an email at carmelcaterpillars@hotmail.co.uk or call on 07946547347 to book a visit. Remember it doesn't matter how young your precious ones are, we now have a waiting list for January 2025 and beyond!

We had a very positive audit on Safeguarding and child Welfare requirements - details are in the 'KCC feedback section'.

Previously we have had a Brilliant Ofsted Inspection  with a GOOD rating, receiving praise for our high quality of teaching and learning with our enthusiastic and motivated staff team! The link to our Ofsted Report is here using our code 127083 here

In a recent ECERS (Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale) review we scored a fantastic maximum score of 7 in 11 provisions. I have listed details of this and also attached a very complimentary letter from the Corporate Director from Early Years Childcare, KCC in the 'KCC Feedback' section.

There are also some lovely comments from our leavers families in the For Parents tab and new photos from recent activities in the Gallery, so please take a look.
