Early Years Pupil Premium Strategy
Here at Carmel Caterpillars, our aim is to provide a safe, stimulating and supportive environment for all the children attending. We know that each child is unique and when they have high quality teaching and support along with a good variety of resources, they learn to be independent and strong. Making positive relationships builds their resilience and confidence, which develops a positive sense of self-worth and helps them achieve their full potential.
We receive funding from the Government for some of our families to enhance their child’s learning. We assess their individual learning and development needs and with input from the family, we allocate this funding accordingly. These funds can help to pay for extra training, additional staff hours and resources, all of which help to raise the quality of the child’s early education.
The child’s progress is monitored and regularly reviewed to identify the impact of these funds. If the impact is less than anticipated, we re-evaluate and discuss more options and ideas with the family.
